Misses

I am finding that you never are really done editing a book. Although this read through was supposed to be fixing all the typos and only the typos. But then I keep coming up with phrasing I like better than what is on the page.

Hence, this read-through is taking longer than anticipated.

On one hand, I like it because I know when I do hit that button to release it into the world, it will be better than if I had rushed through this process. On the other hand, I just want it to be out there already! :)

But I am still plugging away at it.

I am also finding time to finish some illustrations for a short story I have written. It is about Lady Byrd who thinks she doesn't need to prepare for Winter because she has her food brought to her. But when all the bakers and cooks in the Sylvan Wood stop baking for others so they may build up their own stores for Winter, Lady Byrd is taken to meet Aunt Jane who shows her the wisdom in planning ahead and working for what she has. (It is based on Proverbs 6:6 "Go to the ant you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!")

Also in the works is a story about a little mouse who thinks he is wise in his own eyes. Illustrations to come on that one as well.

Lord willing, by the end of April all three will be done I can move on to some other ideas floating in my head.
